Care of Photos
-Remove rubber bands or paper clips
-Store photographs in a dry, dim/dark place that stays at a relatively consistent temperature. Consider whether the location is prone to flooding, humidity or temperature changes
-To display an old image you would like to save and preserve, consider scanning and reprinting a copy for display
-Don’t assume your damaged photo isn’t salvageable - consult a professional
-Minimize handling - oils from your fingers can further damage the photograph
-Tape is not recommended for created or tattered photographs
-Remove photos from direct sunlight, as they are prone to fading
-If photographs are in a book or a sleeve, make sure the paper/plastic is archival quality
